Responsibilities:

  • Help shape and execute the strategy of the Enterprise Legal Management (ELM) business unit within Wolters Kluwer
  • Drive the formulation of the business unit strategy, lead governance of key new market opportunities, develop strategies and operating plans for these Horizon 3 businesses while formulating plans to transition these businesses back to the core groups
  • Operate as an advisor to business leaders within the business unit and support the executive team on activities such as the annual strategy planning
  • Provide strong leadership in structuring projects, conduct research and analysis, develop fact-based recommendations, and communicate conclusions to executive management
  • Act as a thought leader and strategic consultant to business leaders on growth initiatives
  • Manage governance, tracking and communication of key initiatives across the business unit
  • Lead cross-functional and/or organizational initiatives with either direct or non-direct reports
  • Lead market sizing, competitor analysis, and capability assessments for new markets while analyzing customer needs, threats, trends, and opportunities
  • Qualifications:

    • A minimum of ten years of experience in strategy, product management, business management or equivalent roles; preferably with direct experience in legal management and/or software business
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; Master's degree from an accredited college or university preferred
    • Strong financial modeling, business case development and corporate planning skills
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior executive level audiences
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as excellent spreadsheet modeling and presentation skills
    • Ability to travel up to 25%
