Responsibilities

The Director of Strategic Pricing will lead the pricing function of the firm. This includes developing strategic pricing concepts, modeling and narratives related to bids and proposals; overseeing the estimating and pricing activities for proposals and changes; evaluating risks and opportunities in cost estimates, developing key price to win strategies for firm opportunities, and other competitive pricing related activities. The successful candidate for this position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and will work very closely with other Guidehouse leadership including Business Development, Business Sector leaders, Sales Support Group, Project Finance, and Human Resources. Main responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership in regards to the firm's federal pricing actions, commercial and state/local government pricing actions
  • Work closely with business development and capture teams to develop pricing strategies
  • Conduct Price to Win analyses
  • Conduct indirect rate impact, pricing sensitivities, and other analyses
  • Maintain an understanding of the competitive field with regards to pricing and operational structure
  • Ensure proposals comply with Federal Procurement laws and Guidehouse policies
  • Evaluate post award pricing information to ensure Guidehouse maintains it understanding of the competitive environment for its business
  • Provide regular pricing status to Senior Management and track all pricing actions

Qualifications

Required Skills:

  • Demonstrated hands-on work experience and knowledge of pricing, including reading and reviewing RFPs
  • Proven track record of successfully managing a finance function
  • General understanding of the competitive environment for government service providers
  • Must possess strong proficiency with MS Excel, Power Point, and Word
  • Ability to do hands on analysis at micro-level, while presenting findings at high-level
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with and present concepts to non-financial leaders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment delivering results and quality services
  • Demonstrated experience to execute multiple tasks simultaneously working in a team or independently

Required Qualifications:

  • Possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or Economics or related field of study
  • 8-10 years of related work experience in pricing or corporate finance
  • Knowledge of federal pricing regulations and compliance issues is a must (FAR, CAS, TINA, etc.)
  • Interacting with all levels of the organization, including internal and external constituencies
  • Working independently and meeting hard deadlines
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
