Provides oversight & leadership for a large unit consisting of multiple teams of Middle Office outsourcing staff responsible for conducting asset management accounting services on behalf of a broad, diverse and complex array of assigned clients. Manages the performance of teams & sets function priorities. Leverages breadth of experiences to manage relationships with a broad & diverse set of clients. Resolves any unique escalated issues related to transactions. Allocates work across teams & is responsible for overseeing HR activities for the unit as well as annual budget planning & managing against financial targets throughout the year. Develops, manages & reviews processes & provides guidance to teams managed to ensure that records are maintained in accordance with departmental policies & procedures. Identifies ways to improve process requirements for implementations. Uses advanced communication skills to navigate & resolve complex situations & ensure client needs are being addressed by Middle Office function. Advises & consults with new clients to develop an understanding of their needs & requirements in order to allocate that clients against the various teams & strategize service offerings. Recruits, directs, motivates & develops staff, maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth & their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team. Provides feedback in the most critical of times. Leverages an advanced & diverse expertise of client needs & requirements to develop function strategy and service offerings partnering with other senior unit heads across all outsourcing services (trade operations, collateral management, corporate actions, etc. Provides guidance to teams on the implementation of new policies to follow regulations. Manages a large accounting unit consisting of multiple teams and client responsibility. Work is primarily accomplished through subordinate managers. Responsible for the achievement of team goals & objectives, talent management & supervision of Middle Office staff.
Bachelors degree in finance or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. 10-15 years of total relevant experience in accounting with at least 3-5 years of management experience preferred.
