This position will manage the delivery of strategic learning management solutions and serve as a point of contact for key stakeholders in the Teaching, Learning & Technology space. Responsible for the end to end solution delivery (plan, design, develop, test, deploy and level 3 support). Works directly with the Vice Provost for Educational Technologies and other University stakeholders in the intake and assessment of needs. Oversees both service and project delivery, with accountability for end-to-end solution delivery. In addition, this role will serve as the senior solutions architect for the Faculty and Students Applications group, supporting solution leads in assessing technology-related requests from the Provost’s Office, schools, deans, faculty, student life, and IT/business partners. Support portfolio leads by providing input into project plans, scope schedule and risks . Collaborate with NYU IT Leadership and academic units to design, develop, and deliver comprehensive, integrated solutions. Partner with an emerging technologies team to deliver custom solutions based on use cases.

Required Experience:
15+ years experience in leading application delivery teams, solution design / development for enterprise applications. Progressively increased levels of responsibility in an information technology environment, with an emphasis on design, development, implementation, and support. Strong functional and technical experience in Learning Management Systems and other enterprise applications. Experience in leading large teams and in interfacing with high-level business stakeholders. Deep experience with large scale enterprise applications, especially academic applications, including Learning Management Systems. Demonstrable knowledge and experience in agile development and in leading agile teams. Experience needed interfacing with NYU IT business partners and global locations, in support of business needs.
Preferred Experience:
15+ years Experience in leading software development groups in a matrixed environment. Experience with large-scale implementations and migrations, especially related to Learning Management Systems. Hands-on experience with the implementation and support of enterprise applications at large or medium-sized universities. Previous experience in software design, development, and testing methodologies.
