POSITION SUMMARY:

As a key member of the US Market Access team, the Director/Senior Director of US Market Access Execution and Operations will be responsible for executing OCA in NASH and PBC. The position will be responsible for working cross-functionally to ensure that all US market access strategies, tactics and operations are executed for current and future OCA indications. This position will also have responsibility for developing and implementing OCA’s payer contract strategies that ensure brand strategy and payer value proposition are executed. The position will also manage our government price reporting operations. The position will ensure cross-functional alignment between US market access, US marketing, finance, medical affairs, legal, and global market access. The role reports to the Vice President of US Market Access.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

This role will inevitably grow and adapt as priorities change, but will likely include many or all the following responsibilities:

• Coordinate launch activities across US market access team
• Work with US marketing in the development and implementation of payer value propositions, channel and patient services models that align to and support our US brand strategy
• Ensure contracting strategies are created and directly support brand positioning and value proposition
• Develop and implement payer, channel and regional access manager engagement plans and metrics
• Collaborate with marketing to develop payer, channel and patient services communication plans and collateral
• Collaborate with training to communicate Market Access training needs
• Coordinate and manage Market access business reviews and metrics
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of relevant government pricing information to government price reporting partner to facilitate monthly and quarterly price calculations
• Ensure appropriate compliance with all internal and external regulations governing product pricing
• Collaborate with finance to operationalize strategic contracting team
• Work with Corporate Affairs and Marketing strategy to develop plans to support appropriate policy initiatives
• Ensure cross-functional collaboration among US Market Access, US Marketing, Medical Affairs, Medical Research, Legal and compliance and Global MA
• Be a strong and visible leader in the importance of good business conduct and adherence with applicable laws, regulations, rules and codes
• Drive the spirit of ONE Team across all functions by supporting a team approach to focus on our patients and customers as our top priorities

Experience and Skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 10 years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology experience in managed care, pricing, channel/distribution, reimbursement, patient services, HEOR, marketing and key accounts
• Strong familiarity with US market access landscape, including various payer types and models
• Specialty product launch experience, preferably in first-to-market disease states
• Career path that exhibits increased responsibility and leadership
• Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree highly preferred
• Ideally has therapeutic experience in liver, metabolic and/or cardiovascular disease
