Financial Objective

  • Design, develop and work towards delivering effective training programs that stay within budget and drive top line sales for GI franchise, a key therapeutic area for the company.


Sales Training

  • Responsible for the curriculum development, leadership of GI training team, logistics and facilitation (where needed) of GI training classes. Involves field trainers, sales management and sales team members as needed.
  • Works with marketing teams and sales leadership to ensure training content supports goals, is accurate and up to date for all training needs. Collaboratively works with all key stakeholders in the Medical/Legal/Regulatory/Compliance process to ensure all relevant materials are approved.
  • Develops and nourishes relationships with field sales to provide sales training and marketing managers with a clear understanding of field needs to support product positioning, to address competitive promotional efforts, and to assess the success of the various communication tools.
  • Leads and develops team of field and corporate based trainers.
  • Manages all ongoing training content and learning process – all Digital Learning Platforms and helps coordinate conference call needs.
  • Effectively manages learning platforms and VEEVA marketing and sales projects for specific training tracks their responsible for in training.
  • Ensures all classes are calendarized, space is available, and all invites are promptly sent to attendees with sales management approvals. Works closely with training coordinator/admin to ensure programs are effectively managed.
  • Works with sales training department, field training managers to support, develop and execute regional training programs.
  • Continuously assesses training and development needs of the field force and coordinates training resources, vendors to ensure the long-term development of the US Sales teams.

Experience:

  • Expert level knowledge of sales leadership and leadership development
  • Minimum of 5 years field sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Minimum of 5 years field management experience in pharmaceutical industry preferred.
  • Depth of GI experience and training experience is preferred
  • Extensive experience in developing and leading high potential sales professionals.
  • Proficient communication and facilitation skills. Ability to engage cross-functional teams to assess needs and gain support for plans.
  • Position located in Madison, NJ Allergan corporate office.
