Job Description

The Director, Sales Operations will be accountable for running day to day operations of Vlocity's high performing global Sales organization. Reporting to the VP, Customer Operations, this is a 'hands on' management role, designing and implementing sales processes and practices, supporting sales management and sales teams, and assisting in the continued, very rapid growth of Vlocity and its Sales organization.

The successful candidate will work in a highly collaborative environment, partnering with all departments: Sales, Marketing, Professional Services, Finance and Legal.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage sales capacity models - by industry and geo
  • Work with sales management to define and implement a territory planning and management process
  • Build the sales analysis function for reporting across organizational levels, geographies, industries and for cross-organization audiences
  • Build out empowered world-class quote to order process, including a deal desk for processing and pricing reviews, while maintaining deal agility
  • Refine, improve and manage the renewals process
  • Lead the selection, implementation and optimization of sales productivity tools
  • Identify and implement programs and processes to accelerate time to productivity for new sales staff
  • Lead a pipeline management program across sales and marketing to improve quality, volume and velocity of lead flow
  • Define, implement and manage sales compensation plans
  • Manage, review and improve the sales forecasting process
  • Partner with sales to deliver a broad distribution of account executive productivity
  • Lead and develop a strong, motivated sales operations team

Qualifications:

Imperative for this role is a professional with bias for action, a depth of knowledge across all aspects of sales operations, and an ability to provide leadership and direction. You'll be strategic, have an acute attention to detail, be highly process oriented, be able to multitask efficiently and productively, while exercising excellent judgment that considers the needs of all stakeholders. Most importantly, you excel in fast paced, dynamic environments, can match the energy level of our passionate people, and without hesitation, jump in to get it done.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related discipline
  • 10+ years of experience building and managing Sales Operations
  • Experience in an enterprise B2B SaaS company required
  • Experience in a fast-growing startup environment a MUST
  • Experience directly managing and building a team
  • Project management skills and experience driving programs independently
  • Must be San Francisco based
