Sales Strategy

  • Creating the strategies that steer the sales organization including overall structure, territory optimization, quota planning, and lead generation management
  • Collaborating with Sales leadership to set team direction and implement functional initiatives
  • Working with cross functional business partners to solve company problems
  • Performing ad hoc analyses of sales data to improve sales strategy and operations
  • Collaborating cross functionally to provide a strategic view of sales and ensuring buy-in from key stakeholders

Sales Execution and Effectiveness

  • Identifying opportunities to improve sales efficiencies, and leading efforts to scale best practices
  • Developing dashboards and creating ad-hoc reports around sales forecasting, pipeline and key performance metrics to drive company goals
  • Forecasting and benchmarking – working with Finance and Sales leadership to manage top-down and bottom-up forecasting; creating benchmarks, trending reports, and top-down analysis
  • Creating models for quota setting
  • Taking a lead role in building compensation plans and in completing yearly planning process
  • Defining and implementing a framework for the cadence, tools, and processes for sales reps to be successful
  • Overseeing all selling-related systems and manage a roadmap of never-ending improvement
  • Maintaining data integrity within the CRM to improve sales effectiveness and ability to deliver actionable insights


  • A history of implementing new projects which contribute to measured improvements in sales performance or business efficiency
  • 5-8 years’ experience in Sales Operations, Sales Management, or Management Consulting –experience with high-tech, software, or SaaS models preferred
  • BA/BS degree in business or related field, MBA preferred
  • Proficiency in, other sales tools, Excel, and PowerPoint


  • A proven track record of solving complex business problems
  • Demonstrable strategic thinking skills
  • The ability to analyze data to drive insights and decision-making
  • In-depth understanding of Sales Operations business practices for sales processes and systems (sales cycles; account, territory, opportunity, pipeline management, forecasting)
  • Experience managing compensation plans & setting quotas for a national sales team
  • Strong communication skills and a desire to work cross functionally
  • A proven track record of working effectively in a collaborative, fast paced, multi-tasking environment
  • Proven ability to coach and mentor employees to achieve their full potential
