Position Summary:

Aveda, America’s premier creator and marketer of plant-based haircare, skincare, make-up, PureFume™ and lifestyle products seeks a Director of Sales to manage sales results and lead the sales team within the established territory to achieve sales growth across channels within the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for partnering with Regional Executive Director to execute field sales strategy for Aveda North America

  • Deliver exceptional results against sales targets, NOP targets and manage P&L for established territory

  • Analyze and understand in detail the “why” behind the results and formulate action plans on how to accelerate

  • Develop collaborative business relationships with existing customers and potential business partners and act as key negotiator and communicator for territory

  • Review and execute accountability standards and benchmarks for territory sales team

  • Deliver timely and accurate forecasting for established territory

  • Grow the business strategically by leading the team to open sustainable new business doors

  • Identify and implement innovative best practices for the field

  • Attract and develop top talent with demonstrated sales capabilities to ensure sales objectives are achieved

  • Represent Aveda's Mission and brand identity to the Aveda network



8years of progressive salesexperience


Bachelor’s Degree


  • Demonstrated success as a leader within a multi-channel field sales environment

  • Strong leadership skills including strategic planning and an entrepreneurial business approach

  • An entrepreneurial spirit including the ability to make decisions as if the business were one’s own

  • Exceptional communication, leadership and organizational skills

  • Ability to align and engage team and network in growth strategies

  • Ability to think strategically and create strong growth and recovery plans

  • Ability to adapt quickly to meet the demands of the business

  • Strong financial acumen including the ability to create, understand and analyze financial and salesreports

  • Strong presentation skills including the ability to present to large audiences

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and proof of vehicle insurance

  • Ability to travel, lift up to 30 pounds occasionally and to transport own luggage while traveling


Must live within 20 minutes of Portland OR, Seattle WA or San Francisco CA
