As the Director, Revenue Data Science you are responsible for leading the build of data driven solutions to support pricing decisions. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of statistical modeling, data analysis and business acumen to identify opportunities of growth and optimization. You will drive the effectiveness and enablement of the pricing strategy that maximizes EBITDA and competitiveness across all business verticals. You will play a key role in developing pricing recommendations and guiding senior leadership in effective decision making. The role also provides visibility through cross-functional partnerships to a broad spectrum of functions at GXO. You will be part of a growing team of change managers to create a best in class go to market strategy.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Establish effective and competitive pricing strategies that maximize EBITDA across all business verticals.
• Support the build of a data driven solution/platform to aid pricing/revenue related business decisions.
• Own the logic to predict pricing effectiveness and ability to compete in the market for new business across all customer segments.
• Develop rigorous, fact-based, quantitative analysis and modeling to provide insights and recommendations for future opportunities of growth and optimization. Ensure strategic and financial soundness and alignment for any recommendations.
• Communicate compiled data analysis and insights to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. Create exec-facing dashboards and build business cases that drive decision making and business prioritization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to identify, solution and implement opportunities for continuous improvement of the strategic pricing processes.

What you need to succeed at GXO:

At a minimum, you’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent related work or military experience
• 7 years’ experience in data analytics, statistical modelling, or decision support
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or PowerBI
• Proficiency in statistical software such as R or Python
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data analysis in a clear and concise manner
• Familiarity with databases and data management systems such as SQL, predictive analytics tools

It’d be great if you also have:

• Master’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent related work or military experience
• Experience in supporting a system build for predictive analytics
• Experience in pricing and costing within the Supply Chain or distribution industry
• Experience working with enterprise scale databases, with demonstrated ability to independently query and prepare data for analysis
