The Corporate Store Replenishment Director is an exciting opportunity for a highly collaborative, entrepreneurial individual. This person will analytically and strategically support all store planning efforts with particular focus on management and allocation of optimal inventory to all ELC corporate and employee stores in North America. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) timely replenishment and allocation of saleable and non-saleable products, sales/shipment analysis, pricing strategy and order processing. The Director will also identify special allocation strategies needed to effectively manage seasonal categories and peak business periods.

This role will be a highly collaborative; working across functional teams including (but not limited to) brand teams, marketing, supply planning, demand planning and information technology. The goal of the role is to ensure optimal levels of inventory at stores to drive sales while reducing excess at the DC. The role is a highly analytical role but requires someone that is continuously looking for opportunities to improve processes and drive change.

This strategic role also requires a good understanding of pricing and markdown strategies to drive sales and optimize inventory.

The role will report into the NA retail planning & replenishment team with tight collaboration with the DC and downstream supply chain functions.

Sales Planning 25%

  • Develop category plans for all corporate and employee stores to identify the demand needs

  • Cluster stores based on consumer, volume, region, trends and other attributes

  • Develop store sales plans and projections

  • Work with the business to ensure history is cleansed and the correct promotional spikes are captured in the sales plan

  • Support the business in like store modeling and facilitate new door set up and projections

  • Highlight opportunities for sales penetration

  • Work with operations and marketing to understand promotional lifts

  • Work with brands to understand returndrivers

  • Work with the DC to project inventory and excess

  • Work with the brands and team on pricing and markdown strategies

Inventory Mgmt & Allocation 25%

  • Review and analyze inventory

  • Perform stock transfers as needed

  • Review Inventory discrepancy report

  • Plan, manage, communicate, and execute allocation of goods

  • Facilitate physical inventory

  • Provide recommended actions needed to support changing trends

  • Monitor region, store and inventory position in relation to sales trends

  • Plan allocation/receipt requirements by door based on DC inventory availability and RTV excess projections

Assortment Mgmt 20%

  • Develop assortment strategies that will support the store and category plans

  • Collaborate with supply and brands on achieving assortment vision

  • Assess the assortment strategies and allocation execution required to achieve sales goals

  • Review effectiveness of allocation strategies and results through review of reporting, analytics and store visits

  • Provide insight and opportunities on improving assortment through modifying allocation strategies

  • Identify opportunities to enhance systems and processes to optimize allocation results

Order Mgmt & Execution 20%

  • Place weekly orders

  • Place opening order for new doors

  • Review and analyze counter SL

  • Update weekly shipment forecast

  • Calendarize & review monthly ship plan for account

Communication 10%

  • Provide leadership with visibility and status updates on all strategic initiatives

  • Drive timely and effective communication.

  • Provide weekly communication to leadership of results and inventory opportunities/risks

  • Provide projections to other functional teams such as supply and demand planning


Overall, take part and initiate strategic projects to improve any of the areas above.


  • Knowledge of retail supply chain and inventory models and metrics

  • Knowledge of retailfinancial planning metrics (monthly estimates, inventory targets, counter service level, WOS, Open to Buy, fill rates, turn etc.)

  • Prior experience developing Merchandise Financial Plans, allocation strategies and assortments to optimize sales

  • Deep understanding and functional experience in store forecasting and replenishment planning

  • Experience with pricing strategy

  • Ability to analyze and review large amounts of data in Excel and drive strategic conclusions

  • Ability to drive change through collaboration

  • Strong understanding of inventory parameters such as safety stock, lead time, A/B/C classification, and review cycle, etc.)

  • Inventory and Order management experience

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to drive best practices

  • Excellent math & analytical abilities

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Self starter and ability to work independently

  • Previous retailexperience
