Essential Functions

  • Review all responses to surveys prior to submission to Department of Health Services (DHS)
  • Update Policies and Procedures for Satellite and Wellbound centers annually
  • Develop criteria in collaboration with operations leadership to determine which sites require Mock surveys
  • Identify and schedule Mock surveys
  • Conduct Mock Surveys
  • Provide Mock survey instruction and guidance to all center management
  • Provide opportunities to enhance practice and make recommendation to leadership
  • Provide in-services; conduct annual Emergency drills throughout the organization
  • Advise and monitor compliance of the electronic health records
  • Provide direction and oversight to new centers to ensure licensure and certification
  • Participate on committees or workgroups to support advancement in practice
  • Supervise centers in business practices; billing, HIPAA, Medical Record compliance and customer service
  • Act as Satellite’s representative at network functions and other ESRD organizations as assigned
  • Provide written reports as needed to key leadership of the organization
  • Support the Safety Officer in the Safety Program for both patients and staff
  • Responsible for driving the Satellite Healthcare culture through values and customer service standards
  • Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication
  • Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner


Minimum Qualifications
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.


  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing with B.S. degree
  • Certified Nephrology Nurse or equivalent; MSN preferred


  • Five (5) years supervisory experience with demonstrated effective leadership and management skills
  • Ten (10) years of dialysis experience
  • Current California RN license

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must have extensive knowledge and understanding of the Nurse Practice Act, Title 22 and 24, ESRD Conditions of Coverage, ESRD network standards and requirements, DOQI guidelines and QAPI principles; demonstrated knowledge of current federal and state regulations for CKD care
  • Able to ensure consistent compliance with established regulations and guidelines
  • Able to relationships and communication pathways with CMS, Renal Network list and state agencies
  • Skilled at investigating and recommending best practices for clinical and operational practices based on industry research
  • Able to provide assessment and recommendations to maintain a state of survey readiness at all times
  • Able to develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures and protocols
  • Direct the Education Division on appropriate training and monitoring programs to support the needed changes and additions to the policies and procedures
  • Direct the administrative services which support the needed business practice required by the Corp to secure business information
  • Provide corporate oversight for the SHC’s Emergency Preparedness Plan
  • Able to read, write, speak, understand and satisfactorily communicate with others in English in person, over the phone and via email
