Our client is a major apparel company that develops, sources and markets a diverse line of men’s & women’s apparel under its highly recognized signature brand. The primary responsibility of position is to direct all internal, including Central America, CMT and Full Package quality functions - developing quality requirements, quality planning, reporting procedures, and piece goods testing activities. This position will ensure proactive development and maintenance of the company Quality Process and reports to the Senior Director, QA.
·Assist with leadership and direction to quality staff. This includes but is not limited to hiring, performance review, discipline, training, projects, etc. Staff includes Senior Managers and their associated teams in the U. S. and Mexico.
·Assess and report capabilities of current and potential new vendors based on company standards as related to social and regulatory compliance
·Provide direction and leadership to quality staff on how to write and fulfill KPI’s that will provide corporate support to strategic initiatives
·Develop working relationships with product development, category managers, sales team, sourcing and finance to create and maintain a timely, constant communication flow on quality related issues
·Assess and report capabilities of current and potential new vendors based on the company’s quality standards
·Assist with the management of budget process for all quality function areas
·Develop and maintain all quality policies, standards and manuals to ensure conformance and consistency of requirements
·Develop and oversee all quality reporting that supports corporate OQL and IRR levels
·Monitor, maintain and report corporate consumer issue feedback for sales force
·Evaluate and maintain written specifications for all existing and new styles globally
·Assess needs and ensure adequate quality staffing for all internal and sourced partners globally
·Coordinate all quality related functions between manufacturing, product development, compliance and sourcing
·Partner with Sourcing to successfully onboard new contractors
·Liaison with Design, Color and Trim to bring new product into the production cycle
·College degree in textile or IndustrialEngineeringpreferred or related field and/or equivalent textile related experience
·Minimum of 10 years’ management experiencerequired
·Minimum of 5years in apparel Quality management required
·Knowledge of basic manufacturing processes related to raw material and product required
·Basic knowledge of RSL, WRAP, social compliance laws and requirements required
·Working knowledge of laundry applications preferred
·Advanced computer skills required; Excel, Microsoft, Power Point, etc.
·Bilingual/Spanish a plus
