Using discretion and independent judgment and in collaboration with and under general oversight of St. Francis Hospital, the Director of Quality Improvement is responsible for the coordination, development and evaluation of all outcome activities including but not limited to: Risk Management, Performance Improvement, Program Evaluation and the Satisfaction Survey (patient/family). Responsible for communication of results and participation in development of strategies for improvement as a member of the hospital management team. This position is required to use independent discretion and judgment with respect to supervisory and management decision and recommendations. This position does not provide direct patient care to pediatric, adolescent and geriatric patient. Provides oversight and supervision to credentialing and HIM functions.
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or Graduate degree in Psychology, Counseling, Healthcare Administration or related field
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Minimum Work Experience:
Two (2) years of experience facilitating quality improvement within the healthcare industry; applicable experience in behavioral health is preferred. Experience interpreting raw data and conducting comparative analysis, in-service education, coordinating accreditation/certification activities, and risk management.
