Division Information

PACCAR’s Information Technology Division (ITD), located in Renton, WA utilizes cutting-edge technology to provide systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services to the entire Corporation, which has high visibility in the technology sector.

Requisition Summary

The Project Management Office (PMO) is responsible for the global governance of the IT project portfolio. This position will develop, implement, and control best practices for program and project management throughout the IT organization.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

This position spends a majority of the time tracking the health of projects and proactively working with project managers to ensure successful delivery while working on continuous process improvement initiatives. Time is also allocated in the following areas:

  • Providing leadership and developing team members
  • Defining and implementing consistent reporting for all IT projects, monthly scorecard and weekly project status reporting
  • Ensuring project managers are appropriately assigned and forecast availability and demand
  • Providing leadership in managing the allocation of resources across all approved projects and programs
  • Ensuring compliance with all internal audit controls for programs and projects.


  • A proven track record of eightyears hands-on project managementexperiencein an IT project management capacity, including all phases of process development and execution.
    • Application development, infrastructure, and COTS implementations
    • Experience with Waterfall, ASAP and Agile Methodologies
  • Effective presentation skills suitable for senior management and other divisions
  • Experience building a “Best in Class” PMO organization
  • An understanding of CMMi, PMI and other industry standard process frameworks
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective teams
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound independent decisions, multi-task, be creative and utilize analytical problem solving skills
  • Must be results-oriented, strategic in planning but have a tactical focus on results
  • Must possess strong communication skills (written and verbal).


  • Bachelordegree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business Administration
  • Master's degreepreferred
  • PMP certification desired
