You will demonstrate success by:

  • Work as capture lead for new pursuits and growth opportunities
  • Form and execute a winning product line capture strategies, including proposal development and campaigns
  • Capable of managing and directing multiple assigned programs and respective program teams
  • Direct all phases of the program from requirements analysis, initial planning through all phases to successful product delivery and contract close out
  • Establish and manage the operating budgets and financial plans to support the individual program and division requirements
  • Develop and maintain the program integrated master schedule to include the internal and external milestones and phases as established by the respective program teams
  • Launch and monitor adherence to program master plans and schedules, identify program problems, obtain solutions, direct allocation of resources
  • Create and lead a program risk and opportunity management process
  • Guide and develop program teams composed of multi-disciplined, matrix personnel to ensure realization of program objectives
  • Capability to lead a product line team to include other program managers, related programs and projects
  • Retain program financial forecasts, report progress to financial objectives
  • Lead negotiation of contracts/changes, coordinate preparation of proposals, business plans, author and negotiate proposal statements of work/specifications
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for program activities to senior customer management
  • Ensure coordination across multiple programs and/or projects
  • Provide day to day guidance and mentoring to PM I, II and III level program managers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in engineering or related discipline with a MBA or MS degree preferred.
  • +10 years with leadership experience in multi-disciplined organizations or programs
  • Ability to act as the primary customer contact for program activities including briefings to senior customer management
  • Capable of clearly communicating program status, issues, risks, opportunities and plans to internal senior management
  • Experience developing and managing a flight training schoolhouse / academy
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
