Tilson is seeking an experienced and dedicated leader to lead one of Tilson largest and fastest growing business units. The Director, Program Management plays a vital role in Tilson's leadership team, facilitating small cell and 5G and other wireless deployment projects across the country.

This position directs and supports the work of project managers who in turn lead project teams. These teams provide a variety of services to our customers including site acquisition, A&E, municipal engagement, licensing, permitting, construction and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

  • Program Management Assist with contract negotiations and bid responses
  • Lead cross functional teams with Program Planning documenting plans for scoping, budgeting, training, execution, communication, risk tacking and closeout
  • Lead training effort for workforce to ensure everyone understands role and responsibilities
  • Set Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Develop production schedule and set baseline with stakeholders
  • Monitor and Control production against baseline. Trend and report results
  • Produce, and distribute, high level programmatic production reports
  • Host weekly or semi-weekly calls with internal stakeholders to cover updates and program status
  • Analyze programs using gap analysis techniques and distribute findings to drive resolution of root issues
  • Lead lessons learned activities with stakeholders to ensure processes are adjusted when necessary
  • Business OperationsManage team of financial administrators
  • Ensure programs and projects are setup timely, and consistently
  • Track revenue purchase orders
  • Monitor financial health and status of projects and programs
  • Work with accounting and finance peers on financial health of projects and programs
  • Assist Project Managers with financial questions
  • Ensure field resolution of financial issues
  • Data Quality ManagementDevelop and distribute automated data reporting tracking missing, past due, and inaccurate dates (actuals and forecasts)
  • Install a culture of data accuracy
  • Process ManagementDocument business processes
  • Create and modify business processes when needed
  • Distribute business process outlines
  • TrainingLead training initiatives for Small Cell division
  • Prepare and maintain onboarding materials for all Small Cell positions
  • System Management Responsible for clear business processes and all operational use of tools
  • Partner with internal systems experts to standardize use of tools, data fields, and business processes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree required in Business Administration or related degree
  • Experienced in Project Management and in leading project management teams across a national footprint
  • Experienced in working with wireless and fiber carriers and have a deep understanding of the industry
  • Demonstrated ability to grow a business
  • Must have strong leadership and organizational development skills
  • Proven experience driving growth and profitability in a high pace, technical field
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Experience in financial modeling with a focus on understanding the business behind the numbers
  • Willingness to work extended hours as needed, with 30-50% travel within the US
  • Proven record of working successfully with ambiguous information and limited direction
  • PMP Certification and training desired
  • 5+ years demonstrated Program Management experience
