Director, Professional Services

AtScale’s global Director of Professional Services is responsible for setting the vision, direction and execution of the team responsible for driving customer success in the field through value-add services and solutions. In this role, you will manage a high-quality, expert services team and the delivery of all types of customer engagements, utilizing defined best-practices. You will be filling a leadership role within AtScale, where constant collaboration with all other departmental managers and influence across the company will be vital to your success. Additionally, you will be responsible for building a highly-engaged, best-in-class, customer-focused team through recruiting and retention, organized training, and continuous individual and team development, motivation and collaboration.


  • Absolute desire to take on responsibility for the growth and success of others
  • Global Professional Services team management, recruiting, individual mentorship, career growth, and guiding the practice evolution
  • Develop and maintain intimate relationships with our largest customers
  • Direct accountability for and effective management of AtScale customer requests, including the swift handling of Support escalations, services leads, managing customer project status meetings, on-site visits, coordination of delivery resources and ensuring quality consultant project documentation
  • Overseeing successful project delivery and engagement management of the practice
  • Leading the development of best-practices and a delivery methodology
  • Regular interaction with other AtScale Customer Success teams
  • Consistent interaction and partnership with AtScale Sales to maximize customer success and license renewals through the promotion of professional services.
  • Consistency with developing and delivering AtScale Professional Services presentations, proposals, contract management processes, statements of work and project plans
  • Consistency with a value-based selling approach for our solutions
  • Own and manage the financial success, stability and budget of the practice through regular P&L management, funnel/opportunity management, achieving utilization targets, ensuring optimal engagement management, and maintaining services rates and pricing
  • Drive team-based consultant objectives, enablement, and success metrics

Required Skills and Experience

  • B.S. or B.A degree and a minimum of 10 years experience working in management delivery and/or leadership role in a consulting practice or project capacity
  • Significant experience in a Professional Services organization and environment
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication, presentation, organizational, and prioritization skills are required
  • Must have proven leadership, responsiveness, flexibility, initiative, and conflict-resolution skills
  • Must have experience with and enjoy working in a highly-collaborative environment
  • Must have a proven ability to prioritize broader organizational goals over individual goals
  • Ability to self-motivate and operate independently, while being highly detail oriented in a remote/field management matrix
  • Ability to work well with all levels of personnel, under pressure, and on multiple activities concurrently
  • Interest in working in a fast-paced, demanding role with highly-varied customer environments
  • Ability to handle stressful situations with creativity and professionalism.
