What You'll Do at Enel:

• Facilitate development of the product strategy for our Demand Response solutions, working cross-functionally, and with senior management
• Own the product roadmap for Enel X’s Demand Response software and services, completing the convergence to a unique global platform (Enel X Flex Platform) while evolving this platform into a complete Virtual Power Plant solution that will give market access to every form of Flexibility within Enel X
• Define best in class products that solve real world problems, and which are obvious to customers that they need
• Identify, prioritize, create and implement enhancements and new offerings by assessing the market, listening to customers, defining requirements, building product, and rolling out new solutions
• Document business requirements in the form of epics and user stories, collect market evidence, and communicate them effectively to the engineering teams, prioritizing roadmap and feature requests
• Synthesize cross-functional stakeholder input to improve and/or replace internal tools, enhancing productivity and employee satisfaction
• Develop business plans for compelling new product concepts•
• Work directly with our engineering teams and represent the voice of customer (internal and external, liaising with our Marketing team) in the development process
• Continuously improve the product development process, incorporating lessons learned and best practices
• Evaluate third party companies and solutions and drive build vs. buy vs. partner decisions
• Work collaboratively with sales, marketing, finance, and operations to ensure that products are fully commercialized
• Support sales with key customers, prospects, and partners; both listening to customer requirements, and addressing product questions
• Review and refine major proposals (RFPs, utility contracts, proposed partnerships, etc.), identify and scope development effort
• Review new and updated requirements for participation in open-market DR programs, and work with engineering to scope effort
• Intimately understand Enel X’s offerings and how they can be applied to address specific customer needs
• Help sales and marketing leaders shape Enel X’s competitive positioning
• Hire, develop, and retain a team of high-performing product managers and associate product managers

What You've Accomplished:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; MBA preferred
• 10 to 15 years in software or hardware product management
• Experience in smart grid or energy management, at least 3 to 5 years of experience with Demand Response and/or distributed energy resources and flexibility management, the ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of energy markets and the mechanics of energy market operations
• Knowledge and experience with SaaS applications
• Experience with both Agile/Scrum and more traditional software development methods
• Excellent computer skills including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• New product introduction experience working with cross functional teams to ensure a products are ready to release to market
