Overview

•The Director, Commercial B2B and Large Market Products, is a key member of the LAC Region Commercial Product Management team in the New Payments Flows organization within Core Products

•Responsible for leading the strategy, product development, and implementation of Business to Business (B2B) commercial card programs which drive growth within MasterCard's Large Market segment

•This role is critical to developing winning strategies and tactics that best meet the unique needs of commercial Virtual Card and STP issuing banks and acquirers by defining the market opportunity, understanding the business needs of organizations and merchants in this segment, and working on products that best meet the needs of these constituents

•Do you have experience working in the commercial card industry?

Are you Familiar with ERPs such as SAP, Oracle and Microsoft Dynamics as well as the account payable / Receivables processes?

•Have you ever worked in a business capacity with purchasing organizations, accounts receivables/payables, supplier organizations, or commercial card issuers?

•Do you have card payments program management experience, and/or experience in developing card program strategy and product development?


Role

The essential responsibilities of the Director, Commercial Virtual Card Products position are as follows:

•Help lead the development of the strategy, tactics, and execution plans in support of the commercial Large Market B2B segment, including bank issuers, acquirers & merchants, strategic partners, and industry organizations

•Responsible for leveraging—and supporting the cross-sell of—the full complement of Mastercard capabilities (Labs, Advisors, Emerging Payments, etc.) to drive both innovation and value to Mastercard shareholders in these segments

•Provide consultative product expertise, education, best practices, and implementation guidance for product features and functionality to internal partners (e.g. Sales/Account Team, Product Delivery, etc.) and external customers (e.g. Issuers, Acquirers, B2B partners, etc.)

•Work closely with business and external stakeholders to ensure effective two-way communications regarding collection of business requirements and communication of key product decisions, plans, and releases

•Develop, determine, and evaluate business cases for proposed product developments that drive both revenue growth and recommended prioritization

• Ownership and responsibility for developing the Large Market segment and delivering against our targets in Latin America

• Lead the pricing strategy for B2B and large market products




All about You

•Commercial card payment product management experience preferred

•Strong understanding of commercial Large Market B2B and Procure to Pay (P2P) business processes/needs and the ability to translate those needs into business and product requirements

•Deep knowledge of B2B Commercial payments products and platforms as well as prior Corporate/Commercial Banking experience

•Excellent written and verbal communication skills with previous experience in a customer-facing role interfacing with mid to senior level executives

•Ability to influence external customers and internal business partners, at all levels, and drive towards results, without direct management authority

•Analytical, solutions-oriented skillset with the ability to drive thought leadership in the Commercial card and B2B payments spaces

•Keen understanding of competitive offerings and industry trends, and the ability to translate that understanding into meaningful action and enhancements

•Highly organized and able to deal with multiple and competing priorities

•Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to changing conditions and priorities is critical to success

•Knowledge and skills using product management tools, e.g. market and product plans, project timelines, marketing research, product validity and financial models, capital budgeting, etc.

•Bachelors degree in business or relevant experience, MBA preferred
