About the role

The Premier Agent Strategy and Operations team serves an unusual role and leads the largest marketplace at Zillow Group (ZG). This marketplace is comprised of over 70,000 advertisers who are served by nearly 1,200 Zillow Group employees that span every function in the company. As the general management layer of the business, we work with product, sales, service, marketing, finance, legal, and analytics to drive the business forward.
The Director of Business Management serves as an extension of the SVP of Strategy and Operations in running the day-to-day operations of the Premier Agent Business. This person will be the primary partner to the sales, analytics and product teams in the areas of revenue management, pricing, and tactical execution of revenue driving initiatives.


  • Work with finance and analytics on forecasting and goal setting, providing the sales and marketing voice to the modelling process.
  • Be the business owner of the Market Based Pricing feature of Premier Agent.
  • Partner with HR and finance on sales compensation and commission strategy.
  • Track, understand and optimize our CAC ratios.
  • Manage headcount planning for all of Premier Agent.
  • Lead a team of business managers that partner with sales on tactical revenue growth
  • Help executive leadership understand what is going on with sales and revenue trends at a level that is not obvious from standard reports and data

Who you are

  • You have 7+ years of experience in a role that requires extensive quantitative analysis, critical thinking and operational know-how. Some management and leadership experiencerequired.
  • Do you think in terms of resource allocation? Do you love thinking about marketplace and auction dynamics? Is yield management something you find fun?
  • You can build excel models. Computation, statistics and probability all come naturally to you, and you rely on data and insights to influence business decisions.
  • You are consistently on the lookout for opportunities to innovate, drive revenue, and speed things up.
  • You are you adept at deductive and inductive reasoning, have a nose for truth and are naturally inquisitive.
  • You can be effective working through others. You lead through influence, not authority. You communicate clearly and effectively to a wide range of audiences.
  • Bachelor’s degreerequired
