About the Department

The Clinical, Medical and Regulatory (CMR) department at Novo Nordisk Inc (NNI) is one of the most diverse and collaborative groups within the organization. Essential Functions

  • Health Systems (HS) engagement strategy aligned to population health goals and associated capabilities building
  • Consistently evaluate Population Health Management (PHM) framework to enable solutions to be implemented across Medical Affairs functions and with CMR and NNI partners
  • Collaboration on the design, development, implementation and ongoing improvement of health outcomes outreach, research and education
  • Partnership across Medical Affairs, CMR NNI, and Global to develop and implement population health execution and evidence generation plans
  • Support training of Medical Affairs team, including Field Medical Affairs
  • Identification and oversight vendor activities in support of population health related projects
  • Keeps abreast of current healthcare trends by attending appropriate meetings and reviewing current literature. Provides market intelligence and insight on a regular basis to the organization
  • Working closely with leadership to understand the future needs for healthcare delivery models
  • Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, contractual obligations and National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) requirements


Physical Requirements

10-20% travel may be needed based on business need.



Qualifications

  • Terminal doctoral degree desired, with 8 years of combined experience in the pharmaceutical industry, clinical practice, health plan organization, health care system or quality improvement in healthcare experience is required; however, individuals with a Master's degree and 12 years relevant experience (ex Public Health, Business Administration, Population Health, Health Economics Outcomes research, Healthcare Administration) will be considered; clinical experience a plus
  • Population health management experience desired
  • Highly motivated self-starter who is able to work independently, deal with complex issues, and communicate with multiple internal and external stakeholders
