Leads, directs, and oversees all the routine capital facilities planning, design, and construction activities throughout the MetroHealth System (the System). Coordinates the department activities in collaboration with the planning, design and construction of the System's Campus Transformation plans and development. Directs and supports staff to ensure successful completion of projects in accordance with the needs and expectations of the System. Maintains and emphasizes open communication between department staff, System customers and users, and vendors, consultants, and contractors for each project. Reviews and approves project budgets and schedules, keeping all stakeholders informed of project status. Develops and oversees the policies and procedures governing the operation of the department. Upholds the mission, vision, values, and customer service standards of The MetroHealth System.
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Program Management, or Construction Management.
10 years professional experience encompassing planning, design, contract management.
Five years management experience encompassing technical and staff construction supervision.
Professional license as architect or engineer or building-related profession
Experience with the leadership and direction of a high-performance team environment
Experience with managing a large number of construction projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated experience with the creation and negotiation of design and construction contracts
Familiarity with project management software and document control.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate subordinate personnel.
Master's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Program Management, or Construction.
Experience with construction estimates.
Experience with Ohio Revised Code 339.
Experience with E-builder project management software.
Experience with capital planning or management in Public Institutions or Organizations
Hospital or Heathcare organization management experience
