Job Description

St Francis Hospital

The Administrative Director of Pharmacy is responsible for overseeing three pharmacy sites including inpatient, psychiatric and retail.  Responsible for planning, budgeting, directing and supervising all pharmacy activities and personnel. Maintains the pharmacy within federal laws, JCAHO standards, and the rules and laws of the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy.  Provides high quality pharmaceutical care to all patients and employees.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education:

 Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy. Doctorate degree is preferred.

Required Skills:

 Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

 Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.


Registration in Georgia as a Pharmacist or eligible for state registration.

Minimum Work Experience:

(3) years experience in a pharmacy or equivalent hospital experience, in addition to three (3) years of previous supervisory/administrative experiencerequired.
