The Director, Personalization Strategy will be responsible for leading a team in identifying, developing, and executing customer and category growth opportunities through the use of data-driven insights and strategies. Responsible for managing the P&L for our overall personalization and ExtraCare program portfolio, and play an integral role in both expanding capabilities within existing programs and identifying new ways for CVS to connect with our customers. Report to the Senior Director of Loyalty and Personalization Program Strategy and Design, with consistent exposure and engagement with VP and SVP levels. Direct a team of business strategists and analysts, guiding them in the analytical process and the development of business and/or customer insights to personalization plans, as well as merchandising strategies and decisions. Lead team to identify business questions and hypotheses, leveraging complex analyses using extremely large data sets. Determine the conclusions and business implications, and present recommendations to senior leadership. Partner with resources across the organization to build 1:1 personalization strategies against identified opportunities --- these strategies will include the use of all vehicles and all channels – e.g., direct mail, email, in-store offers, digital, etc. Lead team to develop analytics dashboards that can be utilized across the business to derive insights and growth opportunities. Identify and develop innovative and out-of-the-box personalization strategies to deliver business growth of no less than 15% annually. Conduct and manage quantitative portfolio and growth analysis. Support and demonstrate the use of customer-centric strategy and development across the enterprise - operating as an ambassador for “customer first” thinking. Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business, Management, Economics, Marketing, Finance, or closely related field, and 5 years of marketing strategy experience in a leadership role in the retail, consumer packaged goods or consulting industry. This experience must include 2 years of experience in each of the following: leading a team in complex analytical projects; using business intelligence and data analytics tools to extract insights; and, developing strategies to make business decisions and drive growth. Experience need not be post Master’s.
