The Director of Pediatric Congenital Heart Services will have direct responsibility for the clinical and operational coordination of the HCA Pediatric Congenital Heart Programs. Will assist in leading the development of strategies and tools to advance the Pediatric Congenital Heart clinical and operational agendas and assure appropriate alignment of evidence based quality improvement initiatives, growth/outreach strategies, compliance, and technology advances.

Provide clinical and administrative leadership for the Pediatric Congenital Heart service line by developing goals, objectives, policies and procedures; supervising, coordinating, and evaluating the activities; and performing personnel administration functions.
Identify, investigate, evaluate and become proficient in new technologies and technical disciplines that are of significance to HCA Healthcare and will support the mission and vision.
Develop evidence-based patient safety and quality improvement strategies and initiatives. Develop tools and resources for facility and division leadership/staff to further support safe and effective care delivery.

� Routinely monitors structure, process, and outcomes of care for pediatric congenital heart services with ability to compare and analyze with national benchmarking.
� Applies performance improvement principles to pediatric congenital cardiovascular programs and initiatives.
� Maintains current knowledge of emerging pediatric congenital heart research and clinical technologies within area of expertise.
� Attends in facility based pediatric clinical and operational committees, including but not limited to Heart Governance, M&M, case conferences, CV growth, etc..)
� Provides physician recruitment support and strategy development
� Develops short term strategies for pediatric congenital heart programs that contribute to the longer term objectives supporting the CSG and OSG strategic agenda.
� Designs implementation of evidence based strategies in collaboration with corporate, division, and facility leaders for improving performance and growth of safe, effective, efficient and compassionate healthcare.
� Provides real-time programmatic oversight of clinical performance (e.g., STS, PC4, IMPACT, etc.)
� Create executive level summaries of project status to be shared with facility/division/corporate leadership
� Enhances clinical and operational alignment between the pediatric congenital heart programs and work collaboratively with key stakeholders to coordinate the annual summit.
� 5 years in pediatric congenital heart clinical role including at least 2 years of leadership experience with involvement in performance improvement projects; Strong communication skills, and ability to work independently and as a member of a high performing team.
� Bachelor's degree required
� Advanced clinical degree (e.g., APN) preferred
� Advanced degree in business administration preferred
� Previous experience with pediatric congenital heart clinical performance improvement and change management initiatives required
� Approximately 50% travel
� Position based out of HCA Corporate Office in Nashville, TN
