Position Description

Primarily responsible for the development, implementation and coordination of managed care contracting. Provides strategic leadership, financial and administrative oversight of governmental and commercial payer relations, reimbursement data management, and payer contracting initiatives on behalf of Augusta University Health System, including Augusta University Medical Center and Augusta University Medical Associates. Supports planning and development of value based payment models with payers, building and maintaining strong payer relationships, and in working with clinical departments and health system revenue cycle staff facilitating resolution of operational and reimbursement related concerns arising with Payers.

Position Requirements

Bachelors Degree and 5 years or more of experience in managed care contracting and payer strategy. Skills required: Exceptional communication written and verbal skills. Advanced management skills with proven success. Strong analytical capacity.

Preferred Requirements

Masters Degree.
