Sterling is looking for a talented, motivated Director of Partner Marketing to help scale our GTM efforts of our growing ecosystem of partners, primarily Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) integrations. Must have significant experience developing and executing a successful partner/channel marketing strategy from scratch at a B2B technology company.


This role will create high impact partner marketing programs and ensure messaging is aligned toward the goal of a cohesive and customer-centric narrative. You will have outstanding communication skills and are able to work with a diverse group of stakeholders to build consensus and drive projects forward.

It will be a blend of strategic thinking and "roll-up-your sleeves" results-focused execution, working collaboratively with partner & alliance, integration, marketing sales, and customer success teams at Sterling, as well as at our partners. In this role you will:

  • Develop and manage annual partner marketing strategy, plan and budget in alignment with growth and revenue objectives, and contribute to overall partner strategy.
  • Create partner-related content that can be leveraged for joint-marketing activities in both traditional and digital channels, including joint positioning decks, web pages, blogs, webinars, nurture emails, etc.
  • Develop influential relationships with our partners.
  • Work cross-functionally with corporate marketing to support partner event sponsorships and other marketing activities.
  • Analyze and track the success of all partner-facing programs. Implement metrics to demonstrate return on investment against the marketing budget.


  • 8-10+ years of partner/channel marketing or product marketing experience, ideally B2B technology, SaaS or PaaS. Experience with Talent Acquisition or HR technology a plus.
  • Proven track record of prioritizing and delivering results within a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional leadership skills to work across multiple organizations to get things done.
  • Creativity to build innovative programs that engage partners and optimize marketing spend.
  • Must be comfortable speaking with VP and C-level executives.
  • Proactive and strong sense of urgency with a can-do attitude that never hesitates to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on.
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite. Salesforce, HubSpot a plus.
  • BA/BS degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
