Sony Pictures Television is looking for an extremely motivated Director Paid Media to help build and lead a high performance, fast paced in-house performance media team. The candidate will work closely with VP Growth to oversee user acquisition and retention across direct to consumer brands like Funimation and Sony Crackle.

This role will initially manage a team comprising of a paid social manager and a paid search manager, with opportunity for expansion. The ideal candidate will have experience in user acquisition at a direct response e-commerce, publisher or gaming company. Strong hands-on experience with media and analytics platform and demonstrated history of managing search or paid social campaigns is required. This position is based in Culver City, CA at Sony Pictures Entertainment and reports in to the VP, Growth

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing and day to day management of all digital direct response channels. These include paid social (Facebook, Snapchat), display (GDN, programmatic), paid search (Adwords, Bing) and PPC (Affiliate, Native Content)
  • On an ongoing basis, measure and report performance of all paid media activities, and assess against goals; identify trends and insights, and optimize plan based on these insights
  • Coordinate cross-functional resources such as Programming, Product, Operations, Business Development, Creative and Sales to effectively and efficiently direct marketing activities
  • Partner with product and Business Intelligence to ensure proper tagging, data collection and reporting
  • Coach and train a junior team of search and social specialists

Required Skills

  • 5-7+ years of direct response paid advertising across performance marketing, customer acquisition, and retention KPIs
  • Expert knowledge of social, search, programmatic, affiliate, and content discovery ad tech platforms (Facebook, Snapchat, Google Adwords, Bing)
  • Hands-on experience with ad-tech and analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Tune, Adjust etc)
  • Experience managing and optimizing complex digital marketing campaigns driven by ROAS and CAC /LTV goals
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment driven by data and creative excellence
  • Excellent organization and planning skills with ability to multi-task and support multiple brands
  • Passion for digital marketing and ability to consistently stay ahead of market trends
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • MBA preferred
