Director of Support Services will provide operational and managerial oversight for support programs that provide supportive (ie psychosocial, nutritional and spiritual) services to the Oncology program. Position will be responsible for the development and coordination of identified community outreach and education needs related to cancer wellness prevention and screening.
Director will be responsible for the strategic development and implementation of new support programs as identified through a community/patient needs assessment. Director will also monitor and evaluate support service programs to maximize their effectiveness. Director will be responsible for the development, implementation and strategic growth of the Integrated Medicine Services within the Oncology program.
This position also provides direction, coordination and manages the relationships with contracted community cancer programs (ACS, CSC, CFC) that provide services in the Cancer Center. The Director is operationally responsible for the Patient Family Advisory Council and liaison for community outreach.
Position will also be responsible for the coordination of the oncology service line patient experience.
Education, Credentials, Licenses:
Bachelor’s and Master’s degree as applicable to area of assigned responsibility (MSN, MA, MBA, MHA, MSW or other health related field). Licensed to practice in Kentucky if applicable. Meets contact hour requirements for licensure, including all state-required courses.
Knowledge of management, leadership and organization theory. Ability to apply key principles in an administrative environment. Serves as a coach and mentor in clinical area of expertise. Budgetary knowledge. Able to analyze and effect change.
Kind and Length of Experience:
5 years in a management position
