How You?ll Make a Difference

Plans, organizes, directs, and oversees the outpatient oncology service product line. Responsible for the development and coordination of financial, marketing, program development, service, and quality of patient care of the oncology service programs. Ensures quality, regulatory, accreditation, compliance and competency standards are met to achieve established goals and objectives assigned by the system.

Ensures efficient operations of outpatient oncology services through collaboration with other departments and facilities. Continually monitors the functioning of the clinics and revises operations as needed.

 

Designs programs and services to ensure outpatient oncology services are leading in the marketplace.

Analyzes and works directly with the hospital departments and physician groups relative to product line strengths and weaknesses and program development. Provides input to physician recruitment and retention strategies.

Develops the strategic business plan for areas of responsibility in collaboration with other clinical departments and programs, physicians, marketing and finance. Coordinates outpatient oncology services with other services and programs.

Develops timely communication strategies to keep physicians, customers, and staff involved in program development. Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with physicians and physician leadership. Responds to physician concerns and provides problem resolution as appropriate.

Performs ongoing analysis of the marketplace in collaboration with market research and growth and market development to ensure products or services offered meet the needs of the customer.

Identifies media opportunities for publication and promotion of services for areas of responsibility. Participates in community activities and supports staff participation with community events.

Develops, implements, and enforces consistent policies, processes and procedures.

Facilitates problem identification and resolution through ongoing dialogue with management and administrative staff.

Develops, monitors, and operates within capital and operating budgets for areas. Identifies and facilitates cost savings initiatives.

Qualifications
License & Certifications

Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the caregiver practices.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

Experience

Typically requires 7years of experience in in delivering oncology services that includes experience in managing an outpatient department and knowledge of medical practice and clinic management.

Includes 3years of management experience in management of staff, budgets and multiple oncology functions.

Demonstrated leadership skills including project management, process improvement, decision making, prioritization, delegation, team building, customer service, and conflict resolution.

Expert knowledge of clinical issues, trends, and developments related to product lines and product development.

Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.

Strong financial analysis and management, long range planning, and negotiation skills.

Ability to successfully and positively interact with physicians and employees at all levels throughout the organization and the public.

Must be able to multi-task multiple projects simultaneously. Intermediate computer skills including experience in using Microsoft Office or similar products, electronic mail and electronic medical records and/or physician practice management systems.
