The Director isresponsible for the 24/7 leadership of all departmental functions insupport of the hospital mission, vision and strategic goals. The Director ensures alignment of all systems tosupport the business of the department taking into account business trends, while focusing on people, services, andfinancial stewardship. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, families, physicians, peers and other departments to move the organization forward. 

  • The director is responsible for ensuring execution of patient experience tactics to drive results of exceptional patient experience performance as measured by HCAHPS results
  • Responsible for the day-to-day operational oversight of the department including but not limited to, payroll, hiring, counseling, mentoring/coaching, scheduling, orientation, competency validation of new and existing staff and annual evaluations.

Education/Experience:

  • BSN required
  • State of Texas RN license, compact license is accepted
  • Previous Department Director or Manager with at least 2-4 years of experience in role
  • 3-5 years as a Clinician
  • Knowledge of state, federal, JCAHO regulations
  • Knowledge of Texas Nurse Practice Act and Safe Harbor
