Director of Title Operations - Philadelphia, PA

We’re looking for a Director of Title Operations to build and optimize our Title processes as we continue to provide quality service to our home sellers and buyers. You will be reporting directly to our Vice President of Operations and be responsible for improving the efficiency and accuracy of our title processes, refining each role within the Title division, building team morale, and establishing consistent performance goals for all team members. As a critical member of the leadership team, you will need to establish strong relationships with brokerage and mortgage managers and facilitate team cohesiveness.

Here’s What You’ll Do:

• Take ownership of title operational processes and team structure, proactively identifying gaps and bottlenecks
• Work cross-functionally with other Operations managers to ensure a smooth transaction experience for clients between brokerage, mortgage, and title
• Leverage deep industry experience to develop and implement policies and procedures to execute and promote Houwzer’s Title operations
• Monitor and drive department productivity and customer service levels
• Work closely with the Talent Acquisition team to recruit, develop, and retain high performing team members to ensure ongoing success
• Conduct weekly meetings with all team members to provide feedback regarding QA, communication expectations, quality of work, efficiency, etc.
• Deliver weekly reporting to the VP of Operations and the Controller
• Work closely with Legal to establish new market services and internal processes and policies

To Get in the Door, We Need You to Have:

• Expert-level knowledge of residential title, closing, and documenting processes from start to finish
• At least 2 years of experience managing people and building all-star teams
• A Bachelor’s Degree in business or a finance discipline is required
• A Title producer license in at least two of the states we currently service (PA, NJ, VA, MD, FL), with no active Real Estate licenses
