Director of Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting needed for a growing organization in the Iselin, NJ area. The position will be responsible for the below. An active CPA license is required for this role.

  • SEC reporting – Responsible for the accurate and timely submission of the company's quarterly and annual SEC filings (10K/10Q), and all other related activities required to comply with SEC rules and regulations. Assist with other filings such as 8K, Forms 3/4/5. Lead or assist with responding to SEC comment letter responses
  • Financial Statement Preparation - Lead or participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements including Statement of Cash Flows and Statement of Equity/Rollforward. Also responsible for maintaining the company’s Outstanding Shares calculation (basic and diluted). 
  • Technical accounting - Monitor and document new accounting pronouncements, evaluate the impact to the company and oversee implementation across the organization as required; monitor SEC comment letters and trends, evaluate/document/communicate to the organization.
  • Complex Accounting - Participate in accounting for complex areas including but not limited to business combinations, share-based payments, derivatives, equity transactions and complex real estate and leasing transactions.
  • Acquisitions – Lead or participate in execution of acquisition activities (valuations, opening balance sheet, training and communication of incoming finance leadership, integration of new entity into the company’s consolidated financial statements)
  • Accounting Policy – Responsible for developing and maintaining accounting policies.
  • Bank and other compliance reporting
  • Internal management reporting – Responsible for the development and ongoing evolution of financialreporting to be issued to the company in support of analysis and financial decision-making process.
  • SOX Compliance – Lead or participates in quarterly assessments of controls, as well as in the quarterly certification process. 
  • External Audit Support – Works closely with the company's auditors.
  • Complies with Company’s attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.
