Overview

The Director of Team Member Relations and Engagement leads and directs team member engagement initiatives and executes strategy designed to increase and inspire engagement and collaboration across the organization.  Works towards higher attainment of the desired culture. Develops and implements the team member relations function to include assistance to leaders at all levels of the organization in team member engagement, team member culture, rewards and recognition, team member relations matters, team member health and unemployment administration.  Assures compliance with all organizational, state, federal and local regulatory laws and standards and practices. Drives human resources to be a valued service throughout the organization.   Manages the Team Member Business Partner (TMBP) to provide strategic HR guidance for assigned groups to ensure effective planning and implementation of key initiatives that affect the workforce.  This includes a full understanding of the operation, jobs, and individuals working there including finance, operations, clinical quality metrics, and process improvements.

 

The person in this position works under general supervision, is responsible for various shifts, may be subject to over 40 hours per week and/or callback as required, and may also be required to remain on campus immediately before, during, and after severe weather and/or disasters.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degreerequired. Master’s degreepreferred
  • Five (5) years of progressive employee relations and human resources experience with at least three (3) years management experience. Strong preference for experience in a complex healthcare setting
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM certification or CHHR is required within two (2) years of employment/transfer
  • Results-oriented. Organized and disciplined in executing plans and achieving goals. Is clear about the results to be achieved, clearly defining objectives, meeting deadlines and expectations. Lead and manage complex organizational development and change projects
  • Collaborate with all levels of the organization. Recommend and implement strategic, practical team member communications and engagement solutions to achieve desired
  • Strong business acumen to understand the business and priorities of the organization
