HKS is looking for a leader of Talent Acquisition in a co-director role that will work with existing leadership to develop, facilitate and implement all phases of the talent acquisition process. This self-starter will be able to influence and drive change, deal with ambiguity and demonstrate results to the business. Experienced individual will assist in managing the firm’s resources by aligning talent acquisition resources with present and future hiring needs with proficiency, fluency and aptitude. This role will also teach and mentor staff and effectively embody and express the firm’s values and mission.Responsibilities:
- Leads the talent acquisition and recruitment vision, direction and strategy
- Directs Talent Acquisition team through thoughtful leadership, mentorship and direction setting realistic goals for team and individuals
- Directs and oversees the full cycle recruiting process and ensures outstanding candidate experience
- Collaborates with hiring managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job postings and hiring criteria
- Partners and develops trusting relationships with hiring managers in support of the firm-wide talent acquisition efforts, offering sound guidance and advisement to recruit the best diverse talent in the industry
- Leads the development of short- and long-term talent acquisition strategic initiatives and continuous process improvements
- Leads and presents during various talent acquisition meetings, quarterly hiring summits and regional recruiting meetings
- Develops and delivers interviewer training content; coaches hiring leaders on best practices for evaluating talent, conducting effective, compliant and professional interviews
- Prepares, analyzes and reports Talent Acquisition metrics and analytics for leadership
- Tracks hiring progress for sector, practice team and geography based on annual budgeted hiring goals
- Implements company-wide talent acquisition projects/programs as needed
- Develops and leads the planning and execution of employment branding initiatives relative to strategic social media presence, campaigns, advertisements and job boards
- Analyzes internal and external compensation data to determine offer package recommendations keeping the firm competitive and within our unique markets
- Oversees applicant tracking system including overall data integrity, the applicant process, system workflow and requisition management
- Strategically negotiates and extends verbal offers; collaborates to manage onboarding expectations
- Oversees onboarding process of candidates seamlessly through our applicant tracking system (ATS) and HRIS systems and relationship building
- Cultivates and manages relationships with external agencies and resources to engage on critical searches as needed; negotiates agreements and approves payments
- Oversees sourcing efforts and search techniques to build robust talent network
- Sources passive candidates for senior level and strategic openings
- Oversees coordination and scheduling of candidate interviews
- Coordinates and conducts candidate phone screens and interviews for senior level roles
- Articulates the firm’s total compensation plan, benefit plans and overall culture to attract and assess talent
- Advises on annual campus recruitment activities and summer program as needed
- Maintains connections with industry associations, networks and organizations
- Ensures Talent Acquisition practices promote compliance with policies and laws
- Promotes effective Talent Acquisition team utilization and balanced workload
- Stays current with overall recruitment trends, best practices, technologies, and products; assesses and offers recommendations to leadership; provides industry trends and feedback to the Talent team
- Actively invests in the professional development of staff through mentoring, performance management and career planning
- Develops, recognizes, recruits and grows diverse talent
- Resolves conflict effectively and encourages a healthy team environment
- Seeks leadership opportunities by providing direction and feedback to team members and collaborating with team leaders
- Collaborates to develop policies and programs that support the firm’s commitment to JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion)
- Establishes and reviews annual Talent Acquisition budget, contributing to vision, planning and leading regular team meetings, annual Talent team workshop, and team development as a part of the Talent leadership team
- Develops professional networks; participates in professional organizations and acts as an ambassador for HKS
- Travel may be required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Psychology or related degree
- Typically with 10+ years of experience 5+ years in the AEC market
- Experience in executive search firm and Human Resources, with demonstrated ability to source top-tier talent preferred
- Experience in the use of applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HRIS systems preferred
- Experience in MS Office Suite
- Advanced knowledge of hiring best practices, policies, procedures and employment law
- Experience in logistics management including connecting people and resources to the right place at the right time
- Experience in successfully managing high requisition workload of senior level positions, utilizing full-desk recruiting strategies in a proactive manner
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels of staff
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Ability to work with existing, established talent acquisition leaders and staff
