Reports to the VP, Sales
This role is responsible for the generation and development of marketing partnership revenue (corporate sponsorships) for the properties within the company's portfolio. The incumbent will be expected to achieve both individual and Company revenue goals through the sale of signage, sponsorship, hospitality, media and all other marketing assets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Achieve specific individual, team, and company sales revenue goals as identified by the VP of Sales.
? Maintain an active and FULL schedule of regional and National sponsorship prospect appointments and meetings focused on selling a range of company's marketing and partnership opportunities.
? Cultivate new corporate marketing partner relationships to ensure sponsor revenue growth across company's portfolio.
? Work with company's Platform Development department to develop dynamic sales presentations and proposals for new marketing partners by incorporating research, category dynamics and a clear understanding of the prospective partner?s marketing and advertising goals and objectives.
? Create and implement new and innovative outbound sales initiatives.
? Act as a primary expert on one or more of the company's properties including acting as the liaison between the on-site property sales lead and the sales staff.
? Entertain customers and prospective clients at games, events, both on and off property.
? Establish strong relationships throughout the partner companies.
? Partner with the VP and all necessary organizational departments in order to service, activate, and over-deliver on all strategic partner objectives.
? Provide accurate, reliable information for sales forecasts on a weekly basis.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
? Bachelor?s Degree required, concentration in general business or marketing studies preferred
? 10+ years of successful sales experience in increasing revenues in the millions of dollars range, preferably for a sports or entertainment venue in the area of corporate sponsorships sales.
? Previous successful background personally selling major corporate partnerships and integrated marketing programs.
? Extensive knowledge and experience in sports marketing, media, promotion, sponsorship sales
? Innovative and well-organized with a strong work ethic and a desire/willingness to learn
? Aggressive, self-motivated team player that has the ability to focus on individual and team revenue goals
? This person should be an outgoing, energetic and creative sales professional who is a clear self-starter with strong relationship and interpersonal skills
? Strong project management skills and sales proposal experience
? Must be able to travel nationally, work evenings, weekends, and holidays
? Proficiency with MS Office
