Director of Software Engineering needed to lead a team of 6 application developers in a role with a blend of hands-on coding skills and proven management ability. Looking for a strong leader with a C#, .Net, SQL development background and experience gathering requirements, designing solutions and following through during all aspects of the development life cycle. Must have at least 3+ years of experience managing others or acting in a lead capacity. Excellent work environment with opportunity to set the strategy the way you see fit. Must be able to lead the group and have the soft skills to mentor subordinates and motivate them to reach milestones to reach along the way. Must have a natural balance of technical ability and client facing communication skills.

You'll be pulling assets from different development groups to carry out the multiple initiatives at any given time. Collaborative environment. You will also have a chance to keep your own skills sharp by remaining involved in the hands-on development of internal web applications and spearheading the creation of new software in a cloud-based platform. The actual amount of hands-on development will be your choice.

REQUIREMENTS:

Proven experience leading development teams ranging from 2-12 people in size.

Outstanding interpersonal skills with desire and/or experience mentoring junior .Net, C#, SQL developers.

5+ years of expertise in application development in a Microsoft .Net, SQL Server environment.

Creative thinking ability and tactical planning skills.

Top notch problem solving skills and a sense of urgency.

Project management skills.

Time management, and a proven track record of successfully completing large scale projects.

Bachelors Degree or higher in Computer Science or related field
