Job Purpose:Responsible for providing administrative and sales support for Sales Managers/Event Directors to ensure the successful planning and execution of off-premises catered events.
Position Description
A dynamic and experienced Director of Sales will lead our sales team in driving revenue growth and expanding our client base. They will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans, managing the sales team, and fostering strong relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor the sales team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they meet their individual and team goals. Foster a collaborative and high-performance sales culture.
- Will work with human resources to establish a strong recruitment effort for effective sales team members.
- Work closely with other departments such as operations, marketing, and finance to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives. Collaborate on cross-departmental projects to enhance overall business performance.
- Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and generate regular reports for senior management. Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions and drive continuous improvement.
- Will stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify potential opportunities and challenges. Adjust sales strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or related field (MBA preferred)
- Proven track record of success in sales leadership roles within the catering or hospitality industry
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Excellent written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate effectively.
- Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a focus on continuous improvement
- Solid understanding of sales principles, techniques, and best practices
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
- A poised professional, capable of collaborating with a large team of varying individuals.
- Demonstrates attention to detail, problem-solving, logic, analytical, mathematical & customer.
- Demonstrates food knowledge for menu recommendation.
- Has high-performance expectations & willingly owns results. Motivated self-starter.
Daily goal: - To ensure brand consistency with GP selling practices across the team, maintaining team success and knowledge about the business at hand
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $120,000 - 130,000 Annually
