We currently are looking for a Director of Risk Management to join our team of dedicated Behavioral Health professionals. The person selected for this position has a broad responsibility to protect The Vines Hospital’s assets from loss.  The Director of Risk Management is responsible for coordinating the loss control efforts and advising management and administration on all potential sources of loss and for making recommendations to minimize or eliminate exposure.  The structure and functions of the Risk Management Program are designed so as to comply with guidelines and standards of the Joint Commission, AHCA, and other regulatory agencies. 

Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work or related behavioral health field required. Master’s degree is preferred.

Experience: Three (3) years experience in risk management with hands on working knowledge of quality improvement activities within an acute psychiatric treatment setting or hospital and with knowledge of regulatory compliance preferred.

License/Certification: Licensed in Florida as a Licensed Health Care Risk Manager or license must be obtained within six (6) months of hire. Florida licensed Registered Nurse or a licensed mental health professional (LMHC or LCSW) preferred.

Skills: Knowledge of hospital operations, risk identification, assessment and reduction and claims management.  A strong knowledge of Joint Commission, CMS, AHCA and state and Federal standards and regulations including Patient Rights standards, and any other applicable federal and state laws and regulations governing mental health care facilities and hospitals. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Organizational skills and ability to interact with and coordinate all levels of staff.
