We are seeking a top-notch Director of Revenue Cycle to set the vision, strategy and driving innovation for Mediware’s post-acute revenue cycle business. 

As Mediware’s Director of Revenue Cycle you will drive and expand revenue cycle capabilities across key markets and will be responsible for managing a large P&L. You will work with a team of developers and analysts to define product requirements. In addition, you will partner with marketing communications to define the go-to-market strategy, help them understand the product positioning, identify key benefits, and target customers. Finally, in this role you will serve as the internal evangelist for your products, working with sales reps and key customers.


To be successful in this role, you will have strong leadership attributes as well as good working knowledge of providers and reimbursement models in the post-acute environment. Additionally, you should have a proven track record of hitting revenue and growth targets.


Principal Functions of the Job

  • Growing and expanding Mediware’s revenue cycle capabilities across key markets

  • Setting business line strategy and vision for the markets Mediware serves

  • Managing the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities

  • Conducting market research to identify market needs, product positioning, go to market plans, and setting priorities

  • Keeping abreast of changes to the post-acute healthcare regulatory environment to anticipate changes impacting our customers and opportunities for new services

  • Specifying product development requirements for current and future products

  • Driving a solution set across development teams

  • Participating in quality reviews and managing relationships with clients during the beta-testing process

  • Developing and implementing go-to-market plans and working with others to execute

  • Analyzing potential partner relationships for products

  • Fulfilling the product owner role in an agile development environment using Scrum

  • Identify and create new business opportunities and partners and develop methodology to create awareness about our leading organization and its services

  • Participate in the training and/or mentoring programs as assigned or required

  • Adhere to the Mediware Values and support a positive company culture

  • Respond to the needs and requests of clients and Mediware management and staff in a professional and expedient manner

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or healthcare administration

  • Minimum10 years work experiencerequired in product management or related experience in healthcare software or healthcare operations in a Post-Acute environment. Must possess strong workflows, and reimbursement models.

  • 3+ years of management

  • Strong business acumen and P&L management background

  • Managed projects with third-party trading partners to plan, execute, and implement data exchange between both parties

  • Background in the healthcare industry and understanding of the revenue cycle, EDI, billing, and back office processes

  • Product lifecycle management experience

  • Ability to combine a strategic perspective with an ability to execute the strategy

  • Entrepreneurial, can do approach coupled with a strong desire to make a difference

  • Proficient in driving for results, with a sense of accountability and ability to change pace and focus

  • Strong analytical skills and innovative problem solving skills

  • Ability to improve current knowledge for yourself and mentor others
