We are looking for an experienced marketing professional to develop and lead Barings’ marketing strategy and initiatives in North America. As part of the Barings’ Global Marketing Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing the marketing initiatives from both a strategic and tactical perspective. This person will report to the Head of Global Marketing. Preferred location is Charlotte, NC.
Primary Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy and Campaign Development
- Partner with sales & marketing and investment team members to plan and execute marketing strategies with consideration for industry trends and target market segmentation
- Lead the development of campaigns leveraging team specialists to deliver integrated, high-quality results
- Focus on creative execution and high-impact campaigns to build the brand and increase market share
- Align marketing efforts with sales and firm priorities

Marketing Activation
- Drive client experience enhancements pre and post-sale through effective marketing and the delivery of Barings’ investment content
- Work with key stakeholders to develop best-in-class communications which are appropriately positioned and effectively distributed
- Effectively manage communications, timing, deliverables and budget for marketing initiatives
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and peers including: sales, product management, investment teams and compliance
- Utilize data to evaluate marketing performance across multiple channels
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in marketing within investment management, minimum of 7 years
- Familiarity with marketing to an institutional audience and knowledge spanning public and private asset classes preferred
- Proven experience with marketing campaign management and the execution of digital initiatives
- Strong project management skills, detail-oriented and ability to manage to deadlines
- Team player with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple tasks, adapt to changing trends, technologies and market dynamics, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or equivalent preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or finance. MBA preferred
