THE BRASS TACKS

• As Sage Lodge grows, our Activities division is expanding exponentially. Must be comfortable developing recreational programming both on property (1,200 acres!), as well as within Yellowstone National Park and the local region.

• Planning and implementing annual, seasonal, monthly, and daily activities dependent on weather conditions to allow guests to enjoy activities regardless of conditions

• Ensure the facilities are maintained, accessible and adequately staffed

• Plan and execute annual recreational programming for Lodge

• Hire, train, and oversee team members to provide sufficient guest service and supervision

• Plan activities and entertainment, adjusting offerings based on guest interest and feedback

• Train and certify naturalists, angler’s, national park guides, etc…

• Required to develop and assist with local government and leaders on recreational offerings and sustainability of resources within region

• Management and purchase of rental equipment, strategic retail buy strategies

• Responsible for department accuracy of department financials

• Mentoring of all managers and supervisors with direct reports

• Liaison with marketing team to produce collateral and proper communication for newsletter and members

THE NITTY GRITTY

• College Degree or educational equivalent preferred but not required

• 4 years of managerial experience within Activities and Recreational roles

• Luxury hospitality experience is a plus

• Candidates with significant background within Naturalist type roles, as well as expert within field of Fly Fishing, guided experiences with high end clientele, strong National Park operational knowledge

• Strong business acumen and ability to build comprehensive financial details revolving division

• Strong verbal communication with ability to contact senior leaders of local government for discussions on permit regulations and recreational future of region

• Individuals with EMT certifications as well as have operated/owned a Licensed Outfitter business are preferred
