The Director - Quality Outcomes & Metrics is responsible for the leadership, design, plan, implementation and evaluation of a business unit-wide quality management program focused on clinical outcomes, including cardiovascular registry core measures, readmissions, and other pertinent quality data in support of Pulse Heart Institute’s achievement of the Strategic Quality Plan and cardiovascular patient outcomes The Director analyzes healthcare processes and patient outcomes, develops outcome measures, monitors sensitive quality outcome indicators and evaluates the impact of improvement activities to identify areas for improvement. The Director functions as a partner with Centers of Excellence and operational leaders in achievement of overall quality composite outcomes for Pulse Heart Institute. The Director functions as the primary liaison with MHS and facility Quality departments. Additional responsibilities include continual compliance management, production of quality procedural documentation, communication, and submission of data to regulatory agencies. The Director supports the Strategic Quality Plan by assuring work meets standards, internal/external deadlines are met within established timeframes, and progress is satisfactory achieved in all aspects of the area of focus.
Eight (8) years of experience and mastery of administration and/or clinical management in an acute care setting
Five (5) years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity
Previous experience with computerized information systems (email, MS Office, hospital systems, etc.)
Master’s degree in nursing, business or health care field
Certification by the National Association for Health Care Quality (CPHQ) and Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) are preferred
Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Washington
