For over 100 years, Cincinnati Incorporated has engineered some of the longest-lasting metal fabrication equipment for the world’s largest and most storied manufacturers. Today, their products include Laser Cutting Machines, Press Brakes, Shears, Powdered Metal Presses and Additive Manufacturing, and are used in some of the largest and most technologically advanced facilities throughout the world.

The Director of Quality Assurance will develop processes and systems to ensure that all external and internal requirements are met before the product reaches the customers. They are responsible for: inspecting procedures and outputs systematically, identifying root cause mistakes or nonconformity issues, helping to identify corrective actions, and providing timely constructive feedback as appropriate. The definition of success is for the Director of Quality Assurance to preserve and enhance CI’s commercial reputation by ensuring that their products and services are fully capable to drive sustainable growth and profitability.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Implement and drive the success of an ISO9001 program
  • Ensure all legal standards are met
  • Devise procedures to inspect and report quality issues
  • Monitor all operations that affect quality
  • Ability to dig deep to identify root cause issues
  • Supervise and guide inspectors, technicians and other staff
  • Assure the reliability and consistency of production by checking processes and final output
  • Appraise customers’ requirements and make sure they are satisfied
  • Report all quality issues to Plant Manager to ensure immediate action
  • Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing quality data
  • Review current standards and policies
  • Keep records of quality reports, statistical reviews, and relevant documentation
  • Provide timely and constructive feedback to relevant parties
  • Implement quality control systems as appropriate
  • Achieves financial objectives by preparing the quality assurance budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions

Education and Experience:


  • BS/BA in Business Administration or relevant field
  • 1+ years of proven experience as a Director of Quality Assurance or 8+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Manager
  • Must possess strong knowledge and understanding of machine tooling and tolerances in a manufacturing setting
  • Thorough knowledge of methodologies of quality and ISO9001 standards
  • ASQ Certifications are a plus
  • Excellent numerical skills and understanding of data analysis/statistical methods
  • Good knowledge of MS Office and databases
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Great attention to detail and a result driven approach
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities

  • An excellent Director of Quality Assurance has an eye for detail and solid experience in quality control. They  has extensive experience in manufacturing of capital equipment, ISO9001 implementation, and a passion for fixing issues or problems permanently so they do not arise again.

Reporting to this Position: Employees in the quality function.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: Plant environment. Ability to walk for extended periods and long distances.
