The Director of Project Management Office (PMO) at ProHealth Care is an exceptional opportunity for an open leader with strong project methodology experience to make a significant impact by leading ProHealth Care through the assessment and execution of strategically important projects and programs. The areas of responsibility include managing the IT governance process, managing PM staff, and examining ways to grow the PMO into an EPMO to support the needs of ProHealth Care. Managing up to the senior leadership, clearly articulating the goals and objectives of the PMO strategy and the effective delivery of project on time, on budget and making sure operations in always involved in the process for which expectations and process improvements are always paramount. The Director will work with senior leadership and executive management to further grow this progressive organization through the delivery of technology solutions, leveraging existing technology investment and the effective use of all system wise resources. The Director will direct all PMO employees in the division and collaborate with all other departments toward the achievement of ProHealth strategic goals established in the overall organizational strategic plan.
This Director position will report to the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and will have budgetary responsibility for both operating and capital budgets for their division. This role requires close collaboration and coordination with the CIO and Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) and other directors within information services as well as other organizational leaders. She/he will be innovative and a visionary with the ability to anticipate future innovation needs of the organization. The Director will be a collaborative leader and change agent with excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships at all levels across the enterprise. The capacity to create partnerships is critical for the success of the Director role.

The Director of Project Management Office reports to the VP/CIO ProHealth Care, Inc. Reporting directly to the Director of Project Management Office are the following positions: junior and senior level project managers, PM business analyst.
The Director of Project Management Office collaborates with the other senior IT executives to ensure strategic development and management of information resources and technology across the continuum of care to support achievement of ProHealth Care mission and strategic goals and objectives. The Director of Project management Office will partner with the Director of Technical Services; Director of Business Intelligence; and Director of Enterprise Applications to develop, support and collaborate on the ProHealth Care IT planning and operations. The Director of Project management Office will work with IT governance to prioritize IT project related requests to ensure valid business cases as appropriate.
This is a director level position in a demanding, elite community based healthcare environment. ProHealth Care is seeking an individual with the following qualifications to make a long-term commitment to the organization.
- BA or BS Degree required
- Project Management Professional certification (PMP?, PgMP?)
- Experience managing the PMO function in healthcare
- Minimum of ten years healthcare experience
- Minimum of five years IT experience (Epic experience a plus)
- Experience managing/overseeing 50 - 100 projects simultaneously
- Experience managing up to 10 to 15 direct reports
- Experience developing, managing, and communicating portfolio dashboard of projects for all levels, specifically executive level audiences
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and strategic thinking skills to understand and anticipate the impact and opportunities across multiple critical projects
- Demonstrated ability to build and establish positive relationships with stakeholders and staff at all levels
- Strong interpersonal skills with senior leadership and leading change effectively
