Position Overview: 
Reporting to the General Manager of Endodontic Business Unit, the Director of Product Marketing will have responsibility for leading overall global endodontic category strategy.  This includes but is not restricted to: definition of product development for all categories, product pipeline management, leadership of the category product managers and growth of sales globally. The position will lead marketing input into innovation plans and will direct market research and product positioning to support the growth. The Director of Marketing will also work with the regional marketing groups to determine market needs and support the launch of new products globally. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Leads a team of product managers to develop overall strategy to drive category growth including definition of product development pipeline, product requirements, targeting, positioning and pricing strategy.
  • Manages product portfolio throughout life cycle from new product introduction, sustaining to product obsolescence.
  • Leads market research efforts in product development including primary interview/usability studies and secondary quantitative surveys as well as conjoint analysis
  • Identify, develop and maintain relationship with key opinion leaders, subject matter experts and researchers to support product development and launch
  • Supports growth initiatives in key markets as defined by strategic plan. 
  • Provides guidance for product managers to develop business case, forecast and go-to-market strategy for new product development
  • Provide leadership to cross functional teams to ensure the incorporation of global market needs and regulatory/compliance requirements in the new product development projects
  • Develop team member and provide career development and growth planning

 

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college or university required.
  • 8+ years related experience in a product management, strategy development, or a classical marketing role (preferably in healthcare).

Preferred: 

  • MBA and/or dental/medical device industry experiencepreferred
  • Strategy development is required.  Consultancy experience a plus.
  • Business Development Experience is strongly preferred

Strong analytical skills used to drive-decision making and building business cases using market and sales data and financial forecast statistics. Effective time management skills to ensure on-time delivery of products meeting quality target Ability to work through complexity/uncertainty and ability to make decision that requires trade-offs   Travel 25%
