Job Overview:

The Director of Americas Product Marketing  leads a team that develops and executes product marketing initiatives for solutions core to the growth and success of Concur’s Enterprise Americas, Global Accounts and Latin America marketplaces. The Director of Americas Product Marketing possesses strong team leadership skills and knows how to build trust with their own team as well as multiple sales, marketing, solution consultant, client development and product management teams. This analytical, strategic thinker will develop the team’s deep understanding of local market conditions and solution performance allowing the team to create targeted, competitive offer strategies that drive revenue and client success.

 

The successful candidate is an accomplished people leader and adept at orchestrating a product marketing team by nurturing the careers of the team and developing strong cross-functional relationships at all levels in the organization. This individual thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is a champion for new product innovations to help inspire an increase in sales revenue.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a high-performing team that consistently exceeds the expectations of all key stakeholders
  • Serve as a key point of connection between the Americas Product Marketing team and the Distribution senior leadership team
  • Analyze the market and competitive situation (leverage Competitive Insights Manager) using existing client, competitive and market data to optimize the markets’ offer strategy including positioning, messaging and packaging of solutions to drive sales and client satisfaction
  • Tailor global launches to meet the needs of the marketplaces and manage ongoing communications with multiple sales and marketing teams
  • Provide product portfolio and product management with insight into the product enhancement priorities of Distribution
  • Partner collaboratively with multiple marketing, sales, product portfolio management, product management and services teams to drive solution strategies that maximize product revenue
  • Serve as an internal and external evangelist for our solutions and provide subject matter expertise when working with other marketing teams, sales teams, client development, key clients and prospects
  • Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policies.

 

Education & Experience required:

  • B.A. or B.S. in business, marketing or related degree; MBA preferred
  • 12+ years marketing experience; SaaS industry experience a plus
  • Accomplished people leader with the ability to develop talent
  • Experience developing positioning strategies and crafting product messaging
  • Experience working across functions and gaining alignment across teams in the field
  • Must love to work in a collaborative, fast-moving environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Ability to travel 1-2/quarter
