Position Description:
Director of Product Management – Digital Components

The Director of Product Management – Digital Components reports into the global Digital Head of Product and is responsible for identifying, creating and delivering digital products and services to internal and external users.  The Director of Product Management for Digital Components will play a critical role in moving the company forward and driving Digital Transformation across AIG.  The position will be focused heavily on identifying and creating a growing portfolio of in house technology led digital components.  In particular, this individual will be accountable for; articulating the Digital vision to our partners, understanding our LoB strategies and operations, defining, executing and measuring the value of digital components.
This position will be located in New York, NY or Charlotte, NC.
• Accountable for defining and delivering business value from a range of capabilities powering AIG Digital experiences (security, payments, content management, email, API management, and more)
• Directs a team of product owners and their Digital component products
• Drives the quality and consistency of product team execution through all phases of the product lifecycle
• Implements, gathers and cultivates key metrics to promote data-driven product development, and define product success metrics and analyze product performance
• Work with cross-functional teams to guarantee execution on product launches and meet deadlines
• Owner of the Digital Component strategy, roadmap and recurring funding requests,  partnering withkey members of the organization on product definition
•  Performs trade-off analyses between time, features, and resources
• Maintains a deep understanding of Digital Capabilities and the art-of-the-possible
• Serves as the primary point of escalation during product lifecycle execution
• Evangelizes Digital Components as a subject matter expert  and owner / operator in business partner opportunities and stakeholder interactions
• Drives continuous improvement initiatives internally to enhance product development and delivery practice
• Enhances deep understanding of technology by evaluating the latest trends, vendors, competitors and start-ups across the industry

Position Requirements:
The Ideal Candidate will have:

• 10+ years of demonstrable experience managing development of innovative online digital consumer focused products
• Outstanding team player and strong-cross functional team leader: skilled at building strong relationships and successfully driving team towards unified goals and vision
• Direct experience and skill in translating digital capabilities into compelling business cases that articulate business value and transparency of costs for development and ongoing operation
• Experience working across multiple teams and stakeholders, interfacing effectively with Engineers, Technology, User Experience (UX), Marketing, Operations, and Sales
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills combined with a strong business and technical acumen
• Experience with data-driven product development and utilizing competitive analytic tools to drive strategic and actionable results
• Superior written and verbal communication skills
•  Ability to work in a fast paced, high growth, changing environment
• Strong time management & organization skills
• Attention to detail with excellent problem solving skills
• Experience working with an Agile and data driven environment
