PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Lead preconstruction team in preparation of negotiated and hard bid proposals. Play key role in various types of proposal presentations. Healthcare construction a plus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Key leader in the entire work acquisition process including management, coordination and delivery of the preconstruction phases of the project. Preparation of the entire estimate. Oversees the development, execution and presentation of proposals. Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate. Review design options and recommend best solution based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of materials. Participate in negotiations, transition of project to construction phase and collaborate with Project Manager on procurement strategies and planning. Participate in presentations to clients.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related degree.
  • 5-10 years estimating/pre-construction experience in commercial construction.
  • Proficient in the use of estimation software.
  • Strong sense of urgency.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to solve problems and motivate others.
  • Manage essential functions effectively by consistently driving for quality, profitable, safe and timely results on projects.
  • Thorough working knowledge and understanding of scheduling, estimating, cost control, procurement and business development.
